California Sketchbook - Lifestyle Illustration

Whilst travelling around the West Coast of America, I kept a travel journal and wrote and drew daily keeping track of the feelings and sights we encountered. I found the vivid blue skies and searingly hot bright white walls so inspirational for colour palettes. After my return, I digitalise my analogue art in Adobe Photoshop. I used negative space to describe the stillness and heat synonymous with Palm Springs, Beverly Hills and San Diego.
